Del compositore Giulio Bonnard (Roma, 21 giugno 1885 - ivi, 29 febbraio 1972) – come purtroppo di tanti musicisti del secolo da poco concluso – abbiamo poche notizie biografiche… Il titolo di Concertino riguarda in questo caso la forma, cioè un brano solistico di breve durata senza soluzione di continuità (al contrario dei movimenti di un Concerto ben separati tra loro); per contro l’organico dell’orchestra appare importante, proprio come richiesto dal genere sinfonico più tradizionale.

As is often the case for many musicians of the last century, we unfortunately have little biographical information about the composer Giulio Bonnard (Rome, 21^st June 1885 - Rome, 29^th February 1972)… The title of Concertino in this case concerns its form, that is, a solo piece of short duration without interruption (as opposed to the movements of a Concerto that are separated from each other); on the other hand, the orchestral part appears important, as is usually required by the more traditional symphonic genre.
