Curiosamente Berbiguier utilizza un tema di un’opera decisamente antica visto che Il Barbiere di Siviglia aveva avuto la sua prima rappresentazione 40 anni prima il 15 settembre 1782 al Teatro dell’Ermitage di San Pietroburgo. Va però detto che la Cavatina del Conte nel primo atto era molto famosa ed era stata pubblicata anche come pezzo separato non utilizzando come titolo l’incipit “Saper bramate” ma con il verso “Io son Lindoro”.

Curiously, Berbiguier uses a theme from a decidedly ancient work given that Il Barbiere di Siviglia had its first performance 40 years earlier on September 15, 1782 at the Hermitage Theater in St. Petersburg. However, it must be said that the Cavatina del Conte in the first act was very famous and had also been published as a separate piece not using the incipit “Saper bramate” as the title but with the verse “Io son Lindoro”.
