Cesare Ciardi nasce a Firenze il 28 giugno 1818 ma trascorre la sua infanzia a Prato dove si forma inizialmente con Giuseppe Nuti per la parte teorica e con Luigi Carlesi per il flauto per proseguire poi all'Imperiale e regio collegio San Gaetano di Firenze dove consegue il diploma di professore nel 1838.
Cesare Ciardi was born in Florence on 28th June 1818 but spent his childhood in Prato where he initially trained with Giuseppe Nuti for the theoretical part and with Luigi Carlesi for the flute before moving on to the Imperiale and the royal college of San Gaetano in Florence where he obtained the diploma of professor in 1838.
