Vigormusic music and record editions was founded in 2011 from an idea of its editorial director, the flutist and conductor Franco Vigorito.
He is joined by the scientific committee formed by: Bruno Canino, Peter-Lukas Graf, Barthold Kuijken, Claudio Paradiso, Ugo Piovano.
From the very first releases, thanks to the careful editorial choice, it has conquered a leading role in the world publishing scene and in a few years the most important libraries have enriched their catalog with Vigormusic editions.
Vigormusic is the only Italian publishing house that can be proud of editorial collaborations with foreign publishers such as Schott music, Bärenreiter, Fayard etc.
In 2020 he completed the integral project of the sonatas for flute and bass directly from the Berlin manuscripts of:
Friedrich der Große (1712 -1786)
SOLI PER IL FLAUTO TRAVERSO, Complete flute sonatas from the manuscripts
Another project that is about to be completed is the complete critical edition of works for flute and piano by Luigi Hugues (1836-1913)
Over the years, thanks to his collaborators-authors, he has published unknown works including:
Saverio Mercadante (1795-1870)
L’AMORE, Sinfonia a grand’orchestra (1861)
Giuseppe Verdi (181 -1901) (attributed)
CAPRICCIO PER FAGOTTO con accomp.to di Grande Orchestra (recorded by bassoonist Milan Turkovic with the Austrian radio orchestra)
Niccolò Jommelli (1714-1774)
four CONCERTS for piano and chamber orchestra
And many other masterpieces were also included in first edition.A leading role is played by the Contemporary Music series through which works by established and non-established composers are proposed.
Furthermore, Vigormusic is also the organizer of conferences, concerts, masterclasses of international importance www.vimef.it
