Hugues utilizza quattro motivi presi dall’opera di Meyerbeer: la Cavatine du Page “Une dame noble et sage” dal Finale del primo atto (mm. 1-77), la Scene du Bardeau dal II atto (mm. 78-116), l’Entracte et Ballet dal V atto (mm. 117-189) e la Danse Bohemienne dal Ballet del terzo atto (mm. 190-296). La fantasia si chiude con un travolgente Allegro vivo (mm. 297-339) che richiama la funzione della Cabaletta.

Hugues uses four motifs taken from Meyerbeer's opera: the Cavatine du Page “Une dame noble et sage” from the Finale of the first act (mm. 1-77), the Scene du Bardeau from the second act (mm. 78-116), the Entracte et Ballet from the fifth act (mm. 117-189) and the Danse Bohemienne from the Ballet of the third act (mm. 190-296). The fantasy ends with a rousing Allegro vivo (mm. 297-339) that recalls the function of the Cabaletta.
