Fermo Bellini studiò da giovane violino con Gaetano Zocca a Ferrara e poi si dedicò in modo specifico al trombone e svolse la sua attività orchestre milanesi prima come strumentista e poi come direttore. Pubblicò numerose composizioni strumentali e soprattutto un Metodo per trombone molto apprezzato all’epoca.
Fermo Bellini studied music with Gaetano Zocca, in Ferrara, first active as a violinist and orchestral conductor in Milan, later specializing in trombone, he played at several famous theatres. He gained notoriety as a composer, music teacher and a theorist, transcribing mainly for wind instruments. His musical production was intense, he published numerous works and became famous for his trombone method.
