Sul compositore e flautista Filippo Ruge (Roma, 1725 ca. – Parigi, dopo il 1767) non disponiamo ancora, allo stato attuale delle ricerche, di informazioni biografiche complete. Così come per Jacques-Martin Hotteterre anche per Ruge valse l’appellativo di “romano”… La presente revisione si basa su una copia manoscritta delle cinque parti strumentali separate realizzate da un copista coevo di Ruge di proprietà del revisore.
