L’editore Lucca pubblicò l’edizione per canto e pianoforte nel 1843 (n. edizione 3957-3977) e una nuova edizione nel 1862 (n. edizione 13001-13004 e 13042) e nello stesso anno Hugues pubblicò il suo Capriccio fantastico Op. 6. Il brano è dedicato al grande flautista fiorentino Raffaello (o Raffaele) Galli (1824-1889) che all’epoca era uno dei virtuosi più apprezzati dello strumento.
The publisher Lucca published the edition for voice and piano in 1843 (edition no. 3957-3977) and a new edition in 1862 (edition no. 13001-13004 and 13042) and in the same year Hugues published his Fantastic Capriccio Op. 6. The piece is dedicated to the great Florentine flautist Raffaello (or Raffaele) Galli (1824-1889) who at the time was one of the most appreciated virtuosos of the instrument.
